This downloadable Explorer Edition is a playable preview of the full Rubicon Overdrive Season 1 rules.
Rubicon Overdrive is being released through a series of Episodes, with each Episode introducing new Characters, Objects, Locations, Narratives and story moments. The Explorer Edition gives you an early look at where the full game is heading, allowing you to play a nearly complete version of the rules without waiting for every Episode to be released.
Inside you will find the core rules for creating Characters, setting up Scenes, playing through linked Episodes, using Events, developing your Team over time, and creating your own adventures. The rules also include a large selection of example Cards that can be printed, cut out and used in your games.
This edition is ideal for players, families, games clubs and playtesters who want to try Rubicon Overdrive early, experiment with the system, and help shape the game as it continues to develop.
Please note that the Explorer Edition is a preview version of the rules. Some rules, cards, wording and balance may change over time as new Episodes are released and feedback is gathered.
To play, you will need to provide your own miniatures or markers, several ten-sided dice, a measuring tool, tokens, and a suitable play area.
