GaMES DRIVEN BY STORY
Rubicon Overdrive is a tabletop role-playing game, where you and your friends create a team of characters and take them on epic adventures together. Every character is unique, and they can learn new abilities and acquire objects as the story evolves.
Miniatures and Cards
Your characters are represented in the game with beautifully sculpted miniatures that you’ll collect in each new episode.
The game uses a modular card system so that you can easily create new characters, and scenes for them to play in. For example, every character in the game can be created by simply selecting two cards: a skills cards and a traits card. The skills card tells you how good this character is at the various actions in the game, and the traits card tells you what special abilities this particular character has.
Every episode will introduce new characters and the pairs of cards that represent them, but you are also free to mix and match skill and trait cards however you like to create your own unique characters.
Story Driven Game Play
Every game of Rubicon Overdrive takes place as a scene from a story. Just like characters, creating these scenes is incredibly easy using the card system. Every scene starts by selecting two cards: a location card and a narrative card. The location card tells you where this scene is taking place and if there are any special areas you need to be aware of. The narrative card tells you what challenge your team needs to accomplish to successfully complete this scene.
Every episode will introduce several new scenes and the pairs of cards that represent them, but just like with characters you can easily create your own scenes by mixing and matching location and narrative cards together.
GUIDED STORIES
The first season of Rubicon Overdrive follows the adventures of Ceci Marcello, and with each episode you will be able to recreate the latest events from the story in your games.
Every episode will include a playthrough guide, which will walk you through how to use the cards and miniatures to setup scenes from the story.
